New Jobseekers Benefit Application questions

    Hi guys

Just a few questions in relation to applying for JSB for the first time. I have enough contributions to qualify for a higher JSB amount over JSA.

I will soon be finishing college and have been job hunting until September, can I use these applications to show that I have been actively seeking work?

My lectures will be finished soon and I will have exams in May. I must have completed college in order to claim, can I claim before my exams or must I wait until my exams are finished? I believe that college can be considered complete when the formal teaching periods have ended as a friend of mine managed to sign on during his masters when he was doing his thesis but he was finished the teaching part of his masters, which they accepted.

    Any feedback will be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance :)
