    Thats odd.

Do a full rescan put in a Central London Postcode for example e11xlt and see does it sort it out.

You can't delete channels from the Freesat EPG.

    Actually, you can.

In the Humax "edit channel list" and then red button on the channels you want to get rid of.

That's just the channel list though, not the programme guide?

    You are incorrect.

If you remove a channel from the list it also removes it from the EPG.

This works in the Humax and Bush receivers. Have not tried in the other versions but I presume they are the same.

Humax:edit channel list, tick channel, press red button, exit , Save changes , Yes.

The channels that I deleted are also gone from the EPG.

Another question, the first night I did the scan, when I had no HD channels, not sure what setting I had,but rather than the channel numbers being 101,102,103 etc as they are now, they were appearing as 5001,5002,5003 etc,but I was able to sort/move these channels around to appear in what ever order I wanted,so say for example I could put C4 on 5004,channel 5 on 5005 and so on,but cant seem to be able to find this option now,any ideas?

The Freesat boxes have 2 modes. One is "Freesat" where you get the channels on the EPG in a particular order that you CANNOT change, starting at 101. You also get a full 7 day EPG and recording is very straight forward. Any channel frequency changes etc. are automatically done for you.

The other mode is "Non-Freesat" where you get the channels in a random order, that you can freely change, starting at 5001. You will not get any 7 day EPG, only now and next info, and even at that, not all channels carry this. Using this mode is only for enthusiasts though as you will have to do a lot of manual editing to get all the channels showing up in the order you want and called what you want. If a channel changes frequency etc. you will have to tune it in again and put it in place of the old channel. There is no EPG to plan recordings from, it'll be all manual, and if the programme over-runs etc. there is no safety net, you will only record what you tell the box to record.

Each mode has its own advantages and disadvantages. You just need to decide which one will work best for you. I'd say that the best thing for you to do would be to use Freesat mode.

Thanks Paddy, the 7 day EPG is something I'd use so think I'll stick to the freesat mode, cheers
