    thanks it looks good..
    what about Trek Hybrid FX?

are better giant or trek usually?

would be this kind of bike much heavier than a more road-kind of bike?

(not thinking to competition or similar, just commuting easily without suffering for no reason.. I used a cheap used mountain bike and it was terrible!!!)

Try something like the Trek 7.2FX and get these also http://www.ergon-bike.com/us/en/product/gs3. If you wanted to do some longer spins, this grips will be a life saver!

Ok my shortlist per your suggestion at the moment is:

    http://www.mycycle.ie/Trek-Hybrid-FX-7-2-2014-p/tfx7.2.htm

    http://www.mycycle.ie/Trek-Dual-Sport-8-2-2014-p/tds8.2.htm

    https://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=68237

I can't go much over that price as I just discovered I would pay in one installment only :/

I suppose that the trek hybrid would be more road/city while the dual sport could be heavier but a bit of off-road?
    Giant any better than trek?

    thanks

I have a Trek 7.3FX for my commute, it's been a good bike. Not sure I would bother with suspension, adds weight.

    ok thanks,
maybe you are right.. for commuting I have only road and I am not going on mountains.
Maybe it's better to keep a light bike..
I suppose I still can go to the park :D

now I have to count my money and see if there is huge difference between 7.1 or 7.2 or 7.3
