best way to get an answer on the internet

I was reading ,think it was in reddit, something interesting about the best way to get an answer to a question on forums is to post the wrong answer.

I'll use a very simple example to illustrate the point, a question which google could answer instantly but think about using this technique for more complicated questions.

So I want to know who won best actor at the recent Oscars. I go to the Oscars thread on boards and post up "Leonardo di caprio won best actor Oscar for wolf of wall street". You can guarantee about 5 people will reply stating it was actually Matthew McConnaughy for Dallas buyers club.

If I had just started a new thread asking who won best actor oscar, not many would be bothered replying.

The reason for this is called something like "smartest man in the room syndrome" where the desire to prove someone wrong and to correct misinformation is far greater than the desire to help someone.

    Any thoughts?

OK, say I want to find out about all the mistakes Bertie made as minister for finance, I will come out with the following statement:

"I actually think Bertie was a great minister for finance and led the country into a financially prosperous era which has now been ruined by FG"

Half the population of the Internet is full of shît. Sit behind a keyboard on tap tap tap away trying to out do someone else behind a screen because they are too timid or frustrated in life to go out in the real world and do it.

Think mick Douglas in Falling Down, only it's on the interweb.

Is there a maximum word cap on replies?

Now I can break my silence and correct your mis guided view by belittling you and your view point, to do this I intend to dredge up obscure references and should this fail I will invoke Godwins law like a true champion keyboard warrior

In reality I think alot of questions get ignored because they are questions that could easily be answered by doing a quick google search, so people just dont bother.

I used to always use the search discussions option on chrome but they've got rid of that now. :(

I did read a shortcut/workaround thing for it somewhere but I forgot to bookmark it.
