Ants coming between wooden floor and skirting board

Hi

There's ants entering a bedroom in my house between wooden floor and skirting board, just wondering what would be the best and easiest solution to stop this?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks. Thats pretty expensive. Do you just use it to kill them or can it be used to stopped them walking around an area if it dries in? Also would it stain wooden floors.

I normally use the gel and watch them all eat it. Like watching a herd of cattle around a trough. They then carry it back to the nest.

Try Epsom salts.

Use an ant bait station. They don't kill the ants when you see them at the station. They need to carry the poison back to the nest. I have seen them completely get rid of nests in two houses where they had been trying to get rid of the ants with powder for years. Costs less than a tenner for two.

Any links to decent brands?

We get ants every yr when the nice weather comes, always use the ant killer powder from homebase and simply brush it into the gaps they're coming through..
Always works for me, and not expensive at all..

Be careful you get that one because there are also non-refillable pre-baited ones that cost almost as much.

I have one of them but it didnt work great. Ants just walked through it some times and left a trail of white powder.

What harm do the ants do? I read that they are extremely organised and do just about everything we do, except watch television.
