    Hi all,
Hopefully you can help me, sort out specs for a pc. .

    1. What is your budget? 1000 - 1500

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Music Production primarily (Using High End Orchestral Sound Banks -- 16gb ram wouldn't go amiss), but a somewhat decent graphics card that won't become obsolete immediately would be ideal.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Couple of old internal harddrives (Not SSD), dvd player, even a hot swap drive.

    5. Do you need a monitor? no

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?
    1920*1080 ---no

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Uncertain

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser]

    9. When are you purchasing? ASAP

Looking for something with spare slots, may want to add more harddrives or ram or whatever in the future
    Thanks in advance

Possibly not, but the more the better. I'm gonna be using east west hollywood strings etc. among other soundbanks. These are very high end. Wont take long to churn through ram while using these, particularly if i want to compose a complete orchestral piece. Running a 32bit DAW at the moment and the 4gb ram allowance doesn't allow for many instances of these soundbanks at all..
