Getting a suit made online

    Hi All

I'm getting married in August and instead of hiring suits the grooms party will all be wearing normal suits.
I'm planning on buying nice shirts for the other guys but I want to buy a nice suit for myself.

I was having a look at a couple of sites which have been recommended to me; institchu and indochino.

The reason for this is obviously the cost.

Does anyone on here have any experience or tips for me?

    Thanks

    Bw

I would never buy a suit online - the fit cannot be gauranteed as you are just guessing sizes.

Would you not be better off getting your suit in Next or something? They have a great selection and range from €140 upwards.

+1 for Next, we got a lovely suit for my husband there and it was in the sales so it wasn't too expensive. Even when the sales aren't on, they're very good value for money. He bought it to wear to a wedding and now it's his go-to dress up suit for weddings/christenings etc.

If you're buying online you'd want to go to a professional tailor and have all your measurements taken properly before you buy.

TBH, if I were buying a suit online (not for a wedding obviously, I'm a girl, but for work or something) I'd be a bit wary because you don't get fittings or an in-person look at the product so you're taking a risk. If the suit arrives and it's way off in size, or it's not good quality or for whatever reason it doesn't work, you'll have to buy another suit anyway, so in trying to save a few quid you might actually end up having to spend more.

Dont buy a suit online, if it doesn't fit properly you'll either have to spend more on getting it adjusted or wear an il-fitting suit.

Go to a good suit shop.
Most have a decent range in value and will adjust the suit to fit properly free of charge.

I'd recommend James Herron on Dawson Street in Dublin.
