posting small items ..cost??

    hi:)

    just wondering is that the rice price for small packets with an post??

    2-40 euro for a 50g packet which makes it prohivbitively expensive for small items


    can you get away with a 60c stamp??

    any ideas thanks:confused:

    Depends what you're sending - will it fit into a large envelope? If so it will be .95c for 1-50g and €1.05 for 50g -100g. Volume is important for large envelopes and it needs to be no thicker than 25mm max depth and 300mm max width.

    if 25mm the max depth for an item in an envelope then?



    if i stick something in an envelope and bring it to post office will they work out the best deal on price?

    25mm is the max depth for the Large Envelope rate - next up is the packet rate and then the parcel rate. Yes, bring it to the post office and they will put you straight. They should have a postage chart that you can take away with you and there's a card 'MAIL CHECK' template which is handy for measuring envelopes etc. :)

    Size and weight are equally important. Use this http://postage.anpost.ie/ or go into the post office and they'll do it for you.
