My apartment deed/legal documents are with my solicitor.
I have not actually seen them, and havent seen him for years.
    Is this wise ?
should i get a copy at least ?

Your deeds are most likely with the bank (if you have a mortgage). It is normal for your solicitor to keep all the other legal documents. But, no harm in you having a copy of them. Most solicitors will charge you for making copies though.

Get a copy of all the documents. Read the Articles of Association and the Lease Agreement. You will be surprised what is in it.
It will also put you in a strong position at the A.G.M. because most owners are in the same boat. The documents are with the bank or solicitor
