People must have great memories, I don't remember who/what or how I got dressed yesterday, let alone when did I start doing it myself. I'm guessing I didn't wander out naked, so some time pre secondary school would be my best guess. Possibly pre-primary even - I don't remember the other kids asking me wtf I was doing coming in naked. I'm also picturing the OP as a 17 year old having a row with mammy as she's sick of dressing them..

27 and I still don't dress myself. Too stuck in my ways now to start. It does get a bit awkward when I pull a bird and I have to ask her to put my jeans on for me the next morning.

I went to work recently with my top on backwards.
Forgot to put on a bra another time.
At the weekend I spilled an entire plate of lasagne on my top. All of it. All down the front.

I remember being around 6 and feeling fierce grown up putting on me runners after school.

These days I sometimes get a woman to undress me and I feel even more grown up

How many under 1's dress themselves? Any 1 year olds I've ever encountered are barely able to stand or toddle, never mind put their pants on one leg at a time.
