    a good bit of moss around..would a couple of runs with the harrow get rid of it? or a reduce it a good bit?

    I find the chain harrow needs to be weighed down well to rip through the moss effectively.

    If it's a lawn spread ferrous sulphate on just before a good days rain.

    Years back I did that to a lazy bollix of a neighbour while passing on the road with the spreader!
    Some fun watching him getting off the couch.

    We had part of a field that wrapped around the farmyard and house after it git 5 bags of 18-6-12 to the acre the uncle decided to fence off a piece as a lawn. I'd say he regretted it after that as he was going in with the lawn mower nearly 3 times a week :D
