End Of Life Almera - Any Value?

    i bought an Almera new in 2000 (old shape), and it's been so bulletproof, it's never even occurred to me to change it. In the last few months a couple of small issues have crept in - front-left suspension issues, morning condensation indicating water ingress, and central locking weirdness.

    On top of this it needs consumables - two new skates and brake pads that I know of and maybe more. Basically, I don't think it makes sense for me to try and get it through the next NCT. I'm just curious if it would have any value as a fixer-upper or for breaking, and if so what I might expect to get?

    They are bulletproof cars and issues you are referring are not catastrophic. Unless you want a change and rust is not an issue, I would fix these.

    Does it have sunroof ? sunroof drains on doors was where mine took water inside.

    I'd buy that. Pm me a price mate. I know lads who are buying them for very handy money.

    @kerten - it does have a sunroof and I used silicone to seal it a while back as it seemed to be the source of the condensation. Probably just needs a top-up

    @carzony PM sent.

    Would a good one really be worth 800 with test?

    NCT alone is worth about 500€ to just about any banger out there.

    3 months tax and nct on this 'un. I figure I might as well drive it until the NCT runs out, unless I get €300 for it.

    Not my favourite car ever (that accolade goes to the Citroen BX that preceded it), but it was so reliable.
