Hi. Does anyone know or has anyone ever done a second apprenticeship?? I am a qualified plumber but now want to do motor mechanics and was wondering if FAS allow you to do another apprenticeship.

You can do it but you won't get paid for any of the off the job training blocks.

Dead right Eire-i did the same within the last 5 yrs though and the company that employed me at the time gave me extra work for the first 2yrs. it was a long slog and worked 7 days a week but totally worth it Mick. you'll find a way to pay the bills if its something you actually want to do.

Thanks Eire and KBee. I dont mind a bit of hard work to pay my way for off the job training so i may as well just go for it. Thanks..
