Sky on demand

A couple of questions regarding this.
My sister has given me her on demand box as she has no use for it.

Does it need to be used in conjunction with a sky box? I use sky go on my laptop, can I use it via that? Or through saorview/ technomate box?

My OH has sky, but no wifi. Does the box need wifi for transmission?

    Thanks:D

Is this the small black box that connects the Sky set top box to wifi? If it is then yes you will need a Sky box and active subscription.

I'm not sure what you've been given but you need a Sky HD box and a subscription. And you need your Sky HD box connected to the web as best (fast) as you can.
