Tuning Sky box with no subscription

    Hi all

I have a sky + box and am not currently a Sky customer. I have some channels on my box like BBC1 NI, and some music channels but not any Irish channels like RTE and TV3. When I got to RTE 1, I get a blank screen and notification saying to call a number and upgrade my subscription.

Is it possible to tune RTE and TV3 channels into a Sky Box without being a paying Sky customer?

    Thanks in advance

Nope, the Irish channels are available only to Sky subscribers

Tune in UTV/ITV into other channels and watch the footy that way :)

Wat kind of box are you using to get the bbcs? is it an old sky box??? if so remove the card and unplug the box and reboot it, do not put back in the card...

    101 will now be bbc1

103 will now be itv etc

If you have a card take it out and reboot by unplugging at the wall. Unfortunately if it's a newer HD box you will still have the EPG but if the box is an older model this will pull up the UK EPG.

Edit: Steveon beat me to it!

    Thanks everyone!
    Absolutely delighted now!

I got my box about 3-4 years ago I think.
