Is there any advantage at all of maintaining an old credit account like a credit card in terms of your credit score? i am specifically talking about a credit card that i have had for 10 years that i dont really use that much.

does having an account open that long have any positive impact?

The ICB probably won't show too much, I think outstanding balance and limit.
But if you're not using it then that doesn't say much.
