OP: Edit and remove that attachment asap. Do you really want his details plastered all over the internet for all to see/steal?

Have it brought to the Irish Embassy or a police station.

Poor old Sean, losing your passport when overseas must be a pain in the hoop.

    Jesus H OP.

Surely just his name and county would have done.

There can't be that many Sean McBrides from Donegal with missing passports in South America.

Fúcking hell - South America like. Think about it.

Posting his image and details shows a serious deficiency in the cop on department.

Sorry I wasn't aware of the technicalities of it.

Aye, fair enough. Didn't mean to sound harsh. I know you meant well.

Its just that sometimes the internet isn't always the best place to go about things.

Lot of crazy fruit loops out there.

If the owner has reported it stolen/lost to the Irish authorities then it's useless to him even if he gets it back so your mate could either drop it into the local Irish Embassy or destroy it.

dunno about Irish, but the policy for UK passports is that as soon as it parts company with you its cancelled.

it you use it for ID at the pub and drop it, then the kindly publican hands it in at a police station, it is dead & gone.

It's the same, once it's reported as lost it can't be un-reported and it makes its way onto that Interpol list we've been hearing so much about lately.
