Wouldn't like peddling to the mart with an 8*4 behind ya on a frosty morn. Jk, on a serious note I don't see why not.

I dont know , but I dont see why not . To be fair they are usually the most ones biking around to change a fence or count the cattle so are pretty deserving I reckon

AFAIK. I think it's only available to PAYE workers. Not the self employed.

Neighbour who works as a home help nurse got a claas bike out of it. Cost €700 I think. I use a bike quite a bit, save a load of time and as fast a quad or jeep around farm roadways.

You definitely have to be a paye worker to get the BTW scheme.

I got mine nearly 4 years ago now. A 1000 euro bike for under 500 euro. Looking forward to next year when I will be eligable for to claim it again so I'll probably trade up!

Make sure it's a bicycle you buy and not a lawnmower. I know of a few poor devils it happened to. :D

It's a great scheme. A €1000 bike for €520. I've done the 5 years now and am thinking of goin again.

You don't need to be a PAYE worker.

But you do need to be married to one! :)

Excellent advice. Even a civil union would do:)

Until the Rev Commissioners wonder why so many delicate, petite civil servants are risking life and limb (etc) on a 60cm framed man's bike.....................

I think the tax bracket your in determines how much you get back.
People on higher incomes get more back.
