I think it worked out at about €12 for 12 foot x 2 foot sheets you will also need the right screws with rubber spacers and caps.
I have about an 8" drop from one end to the other, this lean to was only meant to be temporary while I was building the boat so there are not many supports in it across the span. Have a look at this build it might give you a better idea of whats involved http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056382707

I got it from B&Q in Airside but I'd say you could get it in any big builder suppliers might even be cheeper.

Beware that the Class 3 alteration you are proposing may be subject to planning permission unless
    • the maximum a covered area will not be more than of 25 square metres in total, including any existing garden sheds, detached garage, etc.
    and
    • the total unroofed area of your back and side garden will not be less than 25 square metres.

Depending on how small your back garden is the latter might be an issue requiring PP.

    CLASS 3

The construction, erection or placing within the curtilage of a house of any tent, awning, shade or other object, greenhouse, garage, store, shed or other similar structure.
    :
    :
    2. The total area of such structures constructed, erected or placed within the curtilage of a house shall not, taken together with any other such structures previously constructed, erected or placed within the said curtilage, exceed 25 square metres.

    3. The construction, erection or placing within the curtilage of a house of any such structure shall not reduce the amount of private open space reserved exclusively for the use of the occupants of the house to the rear or to the side of the house to less than 25 square metres.

Perhaps a few pics of your back garden would help us understand what your intending.
