    I have a 13"-27" one.
You can barely shoot prone with it at 13" its a bit too high. I have tried shooting at 100 yards and its fairly tricky to shoot while sitting with your legs crossed (meditation style :D) I have it on the .223 and the only way I've been able to have a proper rock solid shot with it is when sitting with my back to a tree or gate. They are the job though , especially when the land has dips or rises between you and the target or if there's patches of high grass.

Just a tip, you probably all ready know.
When using sticks, bipods etc in kneeling or sitting position use your knee on the same side as your trigger hand to support your trigger hand arm, if you know what I mean, see photo. This then gives support to both front and rear of the rifle.

This will give you a better back posture and stronger, steadierd shooting position.
It is the opposite to what you would do in a off hand kneeling position, where your non trigger arm is rested on your knee.

I do and I don't kneel behind the rifle I sit behind it and support my elbows with my knees. It makes for steadier shots.

I use a harris 13-27 inch swivel bipod and I have a pod lock fitted to it.

I'm using the 4 garden sticks, quad pod, for stalking and found them very good. They are only 1m length for kneeling. Cheap to make & . easy to use

I use the Harris Bipod in 13-27, makes for a great seated shot.

If you can get your back against a tree, fence, or something rigid, the shot will be rock solid.

Try it some time, you'll be amazed at how little movement there is with the addition of the backrest.

Don't put bone on bone when sitting or kneeling. Either the knees are supporting muscly bits of your arms or your elbows are resting on thigh muscles and your upper body leaning slightly forward if there's no backrest.
