S4 Wont Connect To Kies

    I downloaded Kies through the Samsung website earlier. When I plug my phone in it does not/ will not see that the phone is connected via USB. When I put it in through "camera mode" it is detected and says "please connect as media device" so I do this and nothing happens.

    The "USB plugged in" sound is heard when I connect the USB with the phone and it is evident in my my computer settings.

    Anyone have any ideas? I have restarted both my computer and phone.

    Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 Unlocked & Unbranded running 4.3

    Im trying to do this to download the new 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

    Get rid of kies and get odin and download the firmware you need from here.

    I just checked there as well. And you are right it's not there. I thought it was out in the UK/Ireland and it looks like it's not. I don't own a S4 so I didn't know. The generic UK is not out yet. It is out in Phillipines though, but I would recommend you wait for UK BTU. You will just have to wait till it's released and check again also if it's not released kies would not find it either.
