So i need to get the Open Market Selling Price and VRT for a car that is not listed on the Revenue Calculator and the Revenue themselves are no help at all to me.. Have been on the phone to the 3 times today and they just dont seem to want to be any help at all.. They just keep telling me to follow these steps..

    1. Select 4 models that are on sale in both the UK and Ireland that are similar to the model you wish to value for VRT purposes.

    2. Find out the sales price for these models from the UK Glass's Guide and the Irish Car Sales Guide (or if not available, find out the OMSP on the Revenue VRT Calculator ).

    3. Calculate the ratio between the UK sales price and the retail price in the Irish Car Sales Guide for each of these models.

    4. Calculate the average ratio for the four models.

    5. Apply this ratio to the UK sales price of the vehicle you wish to value to obtain a valuation for VRT purposes.

Now the car is a 2007 E61 M5 Touring and there were only 222 ever made and as far as i know only 2 ever sold in Ireland so its pretty hard to get an OMSP for the car here in Ireland as there are none at all for sale.. I got 2 valuations off an Irish and UK site at

    Private Trade Price
    Excellent € 12,480 € 18,250
    Good € 11,160 € 16,930
    Poor € 10,020 € 15,780

    Odometer Estimate 140,000 Kilometers
    Cost New € 144,080
    Age 6 Years 8 Months
    Annual Depreciation 14 %

    AND

    Body type: Estate Doors: 5
Drive type: Rear Wheel Drive Number of cylinders: 10
Transmission: Automatic sequential Number of gears: 7
Fuel type: Petrol Engine size (litres): 5.0
    BHP: 507 Max speed: 155

Dealer retail price from £16,860.00 to £21,380.00

Anyone ever had this problem or can help me out it would be great..
