    Hi all

I have an eos 400d canon which is great but 2 things are lacking for me:

    1. I seek something with good high iso performance

    2. I use 50mm prime which is difficult in small places

Now that the 5d mk III is out, I was thinking 5d mk1 might be a good buy as a full frame.

    Any other suggestions?

A second hand 60d would be in a similar price bracket and while it's no spring chicken itself I think it puts upa fight. The 5d was capped at 3200 ISO though I beleive that it was quite a bit cleaner and sharper than what the 60 produces at 3200 so you'll have to decide how important going over 3200 is.
The 60 also wont help with the 50mm as it's the same crop.

Did you looked at 6D? I know its a bit dearer but the IQ on high ISO is outstanding.

Id recommend the 6D if your looking full frame. Got one myself recently and it fantastic. Was playing with the idea of that or the 5DMIII but the price difference wasnt really justified for me.

5D is more for the professional video recording purpose i guess?

    6D would be nice
