    Hi folks,

I need to get new curtains for the bedroom of an apartment I'm renting (2 large windows).

I honestly don't know the first thing about buying curtains, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend where to get them for a decent price? How much should I expect to pay?

I'm in Galway. Not looking for anything fancy - just decent curtains that will do a good job of keeping the light out...

Michael Guiney's is great for curtains, good value etc.. They have an online store and delivery is cheap (sometimes free)

Lots of good shops online that will post you out samples before you order. For sheer choice Amazon.co.uk has over 6,000 sets of bedroom curtains to choose from, starting at about €15 for budget sets. Just search for the colour you want to make it easier. They often have reviews by previous buyers which is handy. A lot of their products over €25 have free UK shipping so if you route it through Belfast via Parcel Motel then it'll only cost you €3.50 to get delivered.

If you're up in Dublin Ikea would be another option, also Dunnes Home carry curtains too. You'll also often find unused sets on Adverts and Donedeal for cheap prices when people decide they don't want to use them.
