I still think it hasn't arrived yet. I personally would love it. it would do for the .22 hornet what the .17 hmr did for the .22 magnum in my opinion. I talked about it before here but others said bullets could be dear enough and a .204 might work out better in the long run.

Lads they are out with ages, shot my first one about 6-8 months ago. Rounds are nearly 1 euro a shot so that finished it. Quieter than a 223 , no recoil

where abouts are they selling? ammo is a bit on the dear side alright, about the same as the .22 hornet so. how did you find it for accuracy? I wonder would it be fairly good out to 300 yards?

Mike Duggan in Killarney has the ammo with a good bit and can get a cz 527 in .17 no bother. Accuracy was fine. .17h wouldn't really be suitable for fox past 300 IMO but fine on rabbits I suppose

do you think a moderator would be needed on it? The .22 hornet isn't that loud, if it was good enough for a fox out to 250 yards I would be happy enough with one.

What happens if the ammo does not suit the barrel. There is only one manufacturer of 17 hornet ammo..

In addition to only one ammo manufacturer, this round has been getting lukewarm reviews in america and elsewhere. You'd pick up a .223 secondhand and get ammunition from dozens of different makers and save yourself a lot of headaches, either that or a .17 remington.

I would consider the .223 too powerful in semi built up areas. A lot of houses around here.

Then the plain old .22 hornet is ideal.
