How much can you earn from employment and stil keep some entitlement to DA?
I'm not too concerned about losing my weekly payment but will find it hard without the free travel pass and medical card.

    Long story, short!

Anything under €120 from the employer and you keep everything! I'm currently doing that

Think you can work a maximum of 20 hours,as for the medical card, come 2019 we're all fcuked when U.H.I is introduced,it'll cost everyone;the unemployed etc, will get something towards it,but completely free healthcare is coming to an end

I dont know how much the salary is yet but I expect it to be somewhere between €15 and 20K before tax etc.
Just because I work wont mean that I need less medication or that I will probably never be able to drive so will always need public transport, thats the annoying part

I had a salary of €16,000, a medical card but no public transport. Surely you can pay for the bus if you're earning, no?

The big thing is keeping a medical card: that's vital. I'm sure if your GP would write a letter it might help.

My regular prescriptions would cost about €120 for a 2 month supply and thats not including any other things that crop up.
I suppose I could pay for the bus/luas myself but again it all adds up. I think it would work out at approx €20 a week and then add on the journey home from Dublin to waterford at weekends?

What happens to your Pass when you come off DA? Theres nothing stating entitlement on it
