How amazing would it be to do this!!

Any other sportive/tour type packages about? Would love to do a week somewhere. Some famous climbs mixed in as well!

The Etape, Marmotte, both in July? ( only one day events, but include famous climbs). I'm doing the Marmotte myself.

I am looking to do Etape next year. Marmotte looks very tough! I would need to lose a few kgs though! Currently sitting around 90kg, not fat just 6ft gaelic football build.

Great blog by one of the participants in the Tour de Force at http://edstourdefrance.wordpress.com/
A friend is doing it but is too tired in the evenings to send reports so he recommended this. When watching the Tour it's impressive to know that there are a group of "normal" cyclists covering the exact same route and trying to stay 7 days ahead of the professionals.

The Haute Route Alps and The Dolimites are both in August. Dolimites are first. I am 50 next year would love to try 1 of the 3.
    Love doing multidays.

Watch out for the Irish Hospice sponsored cycle every year. Over the past few years we have been through the Alps (Glandon, Alpe d'Huez, Lauteret, Bonette), Mont Ventoux, Tourmalet and the Northern Pyrenees and next weekend 50 of us are heading for the Spanish Pyrenees. About 700km and 8000m of climbing over five days starting in San Sebastián and finishing (hopefully) in Barcelona. Great cycling and for a good cause.
