xbox repair

    hi does anyone know someone that could repair an old original first generation xbox for me the console doesnt turn on it makes crackling sounds from the ac dc port dont want to buy a new one want it repaired tried changing the power lead still the same crackling noise

    Its a very common problem and a very easy fix, all you need is a soldering iron, Borrow one, open your Xbox and look for the area where the power PSU is located on the mother board, you just need to make sure that the 2 solderpoints on the board are clean and not touching, if they are damaged then you need to resolder. There are loads of guides on the net for this.
