Why not enjoy the peace and quiet?

And If you think its boring now you should have seen what Sundays were like 30 odd years ago. Literally everything except the corner shop was closed for business.

You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think "Sunday, bloody Sunday!"

Sundays can be boring any where. It just depends of what you make of them.

If you are bored go do something. There is always something to do.

There is no excuse to be bored.

Thats funny I thought I seen the same thread last week too, its probably just that morbid feeling of having to get up at 8am the following morning. Feck! Think what its was like twenty - twenty five years ago with the pubs closed during the day and the like, even more boring, at least now you have shops, pubs and various other things to go now.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

There needs to be a man-creche, for lads at a loose end - ideally with motorcycles, high-wires, climbing walls, simulators and film-rooms that offer beer, coffee, snacks, a health clinic and full gym, white-collar boxing, MMA ring,go-karts, shooting ranges.. This would become a man-Utopia and destination of choice for lads wanting a better sunday. There could be a few.. and you sign a form when you get dropped off - "if I die, tough". I'd join anyway..

I took the dogs to the park, then went for a spot of shopping, then for dinner. Loads to do.

I've had a great day, Kerry v Tyrone, England v Wales, Man City v Wigan and Derry v Shamrock Rovers now, as well as loads of GAA action to keep up with. Like a pig in ****e.

Alas, if you hate sport, I dunno, go to the pub.

Sundays are far more boring on the continent. Was driving through Luxembourg on a Sunday and there was literally nothing open but petrol stations.

    Count your blessings OP.

I like quiet Sundays, you can do everything...reading,relaxing from the busy week or just doing nothing...enjoy the Sunday!
