Just throwing it out there. I'm thinking myself it could be Santa Clause or the Tooth Fairy.

God is absolute universal, He has no worldly relation like human. You can find him in nature. He is from us, we are his

I know its new age to assume God has no personality, buy I fail to see why? I do subscribe to the belief that God is everything, but I believe it is more than this. As far as we know, we are the most capable, concious, creative beings in all of known reality with a complex emotional and mental make up and lots of people assume if we are created by God, God is nothing like us. No humour, no likes, no dislikes, no opinions etc. I don't buy it. If there is a God it is probably opinionated, and contemptuous, and funny and loving and everything we are capable of and more. If you value your identity, who you are, why wouldn't the creator of everything value its chosen traits? Prefer one way of thinking over another? Like ice cream but dislike raspberry ripple!

The bible has the answer! I never thought I would ever say that, its an odd feeling, like I just realised I left everything electrical on in the house when I left for the weekend.

Anyway, jesus is god so god is his own father! It sounds a bit weird but lets be honest, most people in the bible had a family stick instead of a tree so in context its not that bad. Mentioning the bible makes sense in context, something is seriously wrong with me this morning.

So what you're saying is, basically, that Jebus is Philip J. Fry, yes/no?

    https://bible.org/question/does-jesus-fact-say-he-god%E2%80%99s-son-not-just-infer-it
Does Jesus in fact say that He is God’s Son, not just infer it?

Mark says it at the outset of his gospel (1:1).

The angel told Mary her child would be the Son of God (Luke 1:35).

John the Baptist said the same thing (John 1:34).

    Nathanael said it (John 1:49).

    Martha believed it (John 11:27).

The centurion said so (Matthew 27:54).

Jesus claimed that He said so (John 10:36).

Jesus clearly implies it in John 11:4.

The demons called Jesus the Son of God (Matthew 8:29; Luke 4:41; Mark 3:11).

The charge against Jesus was that He claimed to be the Son of God (Matthew 27:43; John 19:7), a claim He never denied, and virtually admitted (Luke 22:70).

The Gospel of John was written to convince the reader that Jesus was the Son of God (John 20:31).

Why, you might ask, does Jesus not say so plainly. I think the answer is found in Matthew 16:15-17:

15 He said to them, “And who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!” (Matthew 16:15-17).

Jesus did not want Peter and His disciples to believe He was the Son of God just because He said so. He wanted God to bring them to this conclusion, based upon the overwhelming evidence of Scripture and our Lord’s life and teaching.

God didn't create man in his own image; man created God in his own.

In my opinion... I don't think God has parents... because God is not human, God is a spirit.

Humans have parents, but that's because humans are designed / made that way etc.

Ultimately... perhaps when we die, we hopefully will get to meet God and perhaps we will be told the meaning of life and how God works etc etc

    I hope so anyway....:)

That film has a lot to answer for indeed.
There is no mention of god's origin in the books for the abrahamic religions. Most older religions have tales on how their gods came into being.
For example, the oldest religion, Hinduism, has a few cool gods like Krishna, Bramha, Vishnu and Shiva who all kinda created each other.
The Greek and Nordic religions often have examples on who made who.

Well no, but the story for the bible was stolen from Futurama, the near death star was the basis for heaven too. You also need to remember context, because nothing in the bible makes sense without context!

I don't have all the answers... but in the spirit world... apparently certain concepts do not exist... time being one of them.

Anyway, when we die.. perhaps we will get a chance to ask God all these questions... I hope so anyway.
