Anyone having a bet today, nothing wild but thought Panther Claw was more of a 10/1 shot at Naas, he has ran better than his form figures suggest this year and won two handicaps last season. Only 3lbs above his last win mark and Shane takes off 7lbs in what's an open race, thought 16s was worth a stab.


Fancy Shield in the maiden hurdle but not sure at those prices if I got 3s I'd chance it.

Panther Claw looks a bit overlooked here given that he has been very consistent of late in good races. He is down to a mark he is well capable of performing of given his 5th in the Irish National of 4 lbs higher. He has since had 3 very decent runs this year and if his 7lbs claimer on today can ride at all he looks a great bet at the 16/1 generally available.

Bright new dawn at naas and Act alone 2nd race at M Rasen. Think its a nailed on double. Hopefully.

My reasoning is Distance, weight conceded and course. There's a reason BND was dropped back in trip last time. Not to mention MR has been running reasonably well while the stable was in poor form and has course form..it's a speculative bet

I know it's easy to say after but didn't fancy that Mullins yoke there, I thought he looked absolutely slow as a boat when Vigil beat him. He'll want 5 miles in time, probably 3 already
