    Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a Renault Captur and unsure about choosing petrol or diesel. I will keep the car for 3 or four years and do only c. 10,000km a year. I'm concerned with resale. Will the petrol model take a big hit on value after 3 years? . The Co2 of the petrol is 127g and the diesel is only 95g. I drove the diesel and it is very smooth any has pleanty of torque.

Does anyone have any views on this car? It's based on a Clio platform by all accounts.

I've had a megane from new since 2003 and have had no real problems with it.

Looks bloody excellent in some colours. That orange with a cream roof or a black one with a cream roof and black wheels. Coolest of that segment by far imo.

Theres one on display in Liffey Valley at the minute in a kind of dirty greeny colour I'd never have picked from a brochure but it looks the business in the flesh.

I've noticed similar with the new Clio. When picking a colour its definitely a case of making sure you see a few different ones in person rather than picking off a picture.

That 900cc turbo engine looks a good choice for what your after op. Just make sure and be sympathetic to the turbo (will apply to the petrol or diesel) with service schedule and letting it spool down and I'd say itll be a pleasant ownership.
