Any reports on the Opel Vectra gts 1.8. Any good or would they just rob you?
    Thanks

Its just a normal vectra really. They're supposed to be a bit hard on petrol.

Thanks for that, was thinking in upgrading as they look nice

They do look nice to be fair. We traded one in where I worked years ago, couldn't wait to drive it as I assumed it had a big turbo or something.
    Bit disappointed...

If you're not doing much mileage then they're still worth considering.
I'd say you'd get them pretty cheap nowadays.

I suppose about 200 mls a week, their cheap enough now ok and still look good.

Saab 93 1.8i is related to it, maybe consider one of those too as they're similarly cheap

They both need cambelts very regularly though (36 mls afaik)

They use the 1.8 from the vectra in the 1.8i

The 1.8t is a 2.0 turbo engine. The 1.8i is pretty unremarkable but has less to go wrong.

that model vectra is hard on suspension bushings espically the rear ones, can be dear to replace even with motorfactor parts. engines are usually good make sure there is no damp/wet in the boot car corrode the fuse box in the back causing alot of problems with electrics,
