BST (Medical) Programmes in Dublin

    Hi guys,

Just figured I'd ask for peoples experiences of the BST programmes for medicine (by all means discuss other ones too but I'm only applying for med myself).

I got an offer which seems ok and have rejected it in the hopes of getting something better (all Dublin based). But am now thinking that I probably wouldn't mind if it came back to me. I was offered Dublin South and Mid Leinster.

Can anyone tell me the hospitals in other rotations and what they are like?

    For anyone who is interested:
Dublin South and Mid Leinster = Peamount, St. Luke's in Rathgar, AMNCH, and NAAS.

I also know from RCPI that the numbers of places in each rotation are as follows:

    36 Trinity
    29 Beaumont
    12 Connolly
    18 St. Vincents
    18 Louth/Meath
    24 South Dublin

So I ended up taking Connolly rotation for BST. Anyone able to tell me what its like to work in Connolly hospital? What are they like to do call in etc. Would appreciate if anyone could let me know. PM me if you don't want to post to forum.
