    To claim an increase for an adult dependent, they must not 'be receiving an unemployment payment in their own right'.

    Does TUS count as an unemployment payment?

    In other words, if my wife is on a TUS scheme, and I become unemployed, can I claim for her as my dependent seeing as I was the principal earner in the household (albeit at a reduced rate due to her earnings)....?

    Yes you can claim for her and her €208 will be treated in the normal way in the means test.
