Van failed the DOE. Need some advice

I have a 2004 hiace that just failed the doe (cvrt) yesterday. I've never put any vehicle through any test before (this is my first one).

I didn't ring any garages yet but will do so this week. I thought I'd ask here if anyone has anything to say, how much these sort of repairs might be, and if they could recommend any particular mechanics (preferably in the kimmage area but not too pushed).

Main fail point is suspension balance. Both rear and back, the imbalance was 31% and 32%, same side (a balls to have them over by only 1 and 2% !). They were saying I will probably need new shock absorbers. Maybe the fact that I forgot to check tyre pressures before putting it through contributed to this? Or else the fact that I drove over a million potholes in wesht cark in January?

There were then a few other smaller stupid things, some of which I didn't know about and some of which I did but put it through the test anyway to get anything needed to be done in one go. These are a window that's not opening (need to replace the operating box), a missing strap for the battery, a light not working at the back (which apparently is in the middle which I never knew existed, as all the side lights worked), and one or two other things I forget about.

So to summarise, it would be great if someone could offer whatever advice they can, roughly what I may expect to pay, and generally how I should go about approaching this sort of stuff as I haven't a clue.

    Thanks :-)

Sounds like you need shocks all round window regulator bulb in tail lamp but im guessing as someone will need visually inspect.

A good mechanic with fail sheet should bee able to give you a good estimate.

Sorry can't recommend mechanic in your area

    Thanks!

I'll call into Crofton Motors on sundrive road tomorrow morning. I've also gotten a few numbers from friends, etc.
