Looking for a similar mascara!

I used to buy Avon super shock mascara to use everyday. I absolutely loved it my eyelashes looked a mile long and never went clumpy with it. Obviously Avon isn't available in Ireland anymore and my stockpile of the mascara is gone. I'm looking for something similar to use everyday so it has to be reasonably priced. The bristles on the mascara wand were made of plastic and I haven't been able to find anything like it! If anyone has any suggestions I'd be delighted! Thanks!

I've had Maybelline and No7 mascaras with plastic/rubber brushes, neither of which caused clumping and both of which were very lengthening. I got the Maybelline one in the US, it came in a red tube, maybe they've changed packaging as I can't find anything similar.

I've read numerous beauty articles in the past that say it's not the mascara but rather the brush that does the job so if you have an empty tube left you could try the wand in a new inexpensive mascara and see how that works? Maybe Rimmel (the one in the neon green tube can't think of the name sorry!)

That's exactly what I always thought myself! I'll definitely be trying that!

I'll also be having a look at your other suggestions! Thanks ladies!

You can buy avon online at http://avonshop.co.uk

They don't ship to Ireland but you could use parcel motel to get it to here. I don't know what this would cost in total because I haven't looked into it but it could be worth looking at.

L'oreal do two brushes that sound a bit like what your looking for. Loreal telescopic and architecture. I have the and it gives great length. Though I much prefer volumising brushes

I actually did this last week for mascara, lipstick and foundation. They have a 2 for £10 deal on at the moment, so it actually pays for the shipping if you buy a couple things. i miss avon.

I miss it too! My man was an Avon rep and we had a great stockpile of stuff built up from special offers and her representative book! But unfortunately it has run out now! It was inexpensive and some of the products were really amazing! I'll definitely try ordering via parcel motel!

When I opened that website all of a sudden I got the smell the magazine :pac:

Nostalgia playing tricks on my brain I imagine. I miss Avon too :(

You can buy a lot of Avon stuff on ebay as well for pretty cheap.

I have exactly the same problem, OP. I loved that mascara, but really felt it was the brush that made it. When it started running out, I would wipe the mascara from my MAC mascara onto the Avon brush and it works so well. I actually prefer the tone and look of the MAC mascara but the brush is rubbish.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I went to my local pharmacy the other day and asked the woman at the beauty counter if she could recommend anything and she showed me a new Catrice mascara. It's exactly what I was looking for and it only cost €4.99!
