Wear a suit. And google the company and have a look at their press releases.

    For instance : http://www.swissport.com/nc/news-media-center/news-releases/news-detail/article/swissport-to-acquire-servisair/

I don't normally get into this but where is the mistake!!!? As my mother said "if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all"

Clownface, all the best with the interview. At a guess I'd say Weight and balance, mean aerodynamic chord (MAC) and general aircraft knowledge are important things that may come up. Not familiar really but I just thought I'd put something useful in 😉ðŸ˜

The mistake is that servisair is now spelt as swissport.
Have a look at my link, it's a press release state the take over.

That makes sense now thanks for clarifying that . I don't understand why madpaddy79 could not just come out and say it and help the guy out. Servisair are still using their name on their career website, letterheads and uniforms in the airports so it is not clear cut to everyone.

As an employee of Servisair and not Swissport I can say here in Ireland it's known as Swissport - Servisair on headed paper. Signage and uniforms are still branded Servisair. If you go to the swissport careers website you will see there are no job listings for Ireland. If you go to the Servisair careers site you will see jobs for Ireland. When answering the phone it starts with Servisair . It will be atleast the end of the year before we call ourselves officially Swissport employees. So he's right in asking for Servisair tips because he's employed by Swissport-Servisair regardless of the takeover its still known as Servisair for the time being.

Focus your answers on safety, teamwork, communication, safety and safety. Also have an appreciation of airlines' obsession with on-time performance (OTP)

A dispatcher needs to think fast and stand on his/her own 2 feet. Not get everything spelt out!

We got the new swissport uniforms on Feb 28th, worn from last Monday (3rd March). :)

Not much advice I can give you as it's been years since I done mine, but basically as has been pointed out, suit, be positive and study the company plus they might throw a spanner in by asking about past history of swissport as well as servisair and things like what the combined company will form. :)

Maybe be aware of the role of the dispatcher, outside of the ordinary. Things to think about such as loading animals on board and making the captain aware so he can pressurise the hold, an idea maybe of what is not allowed to be carried in the hold (wet batteries, Xmas crackers too I think), coordinating the fueling, cleaning, boarding etc.

Maybe find out who servisair handle in Dublin, where they fly to, what types of aircraft they use, whether they're bulk loaded or containerised.

Maybe they won't ask any if that but no harm being prepared!

Thanks for all the feedback , and I feel the interview went ok. I'm just wondering how long it will take for me to here back from HR if I got the job or not . The interview too place on Tuesday , I remember them saying they will be in touch in a few days ?
