I have a carbon frame bike, the seat tube (carbon) has an alloy insert which the seat post is inserted into. The insert has become ever so slightly loose and I need to bond it to the carbon. Any ideas on what glue/epoxy resin to use?

Shouldn't the seat post clamp tighten the insert/shim ?

Araldite, or other two-part epoxy type adhesives are what you'd need here, but no glue will be a success if you can't apply it correctly - are you able to remove the loose alloy part, to clean the two surfaces, and to (if needed) roughen the alloy surface?

If you can't easily remove the alloy part, then you're going to struggle to get a decent, lasting repair.
