Broadband and basic Tv packages

Im living in Galway and I got a call from UPC saying they can give me Horizon and Broadband for 142Euro.

I rarely use the tv stations, I usually stream content on Netflix via my Xbox or straight from my phone/laptop.

So unlimited broadband is necessary but the TV I could do with having the very basic set of channels.

Can anyone suggest any providers that would be cheaper than UPC in this regard?

It sounds bad butni had no idea I was paying that much: the last bill I recall was around 119. I dont even have Horizon! I am stil thinking something is amiss with that billing amount. But that's what I was quoted on the phone.

    €142? Doesn't sound very basic.

Are you including extra boxes, sky sports, Setanta etc in that?

It's unlimited broadband and a DVR box but that's not even HD. I am calling Sky today to see if they can offer a cheaper deal if I move to them.

You've Definately left something out. There's no €142 package.

Are you sure its not a bimonthly bill?
