Anyone know why all the drains in my house smell like boiling cabbage. Its rotten. I took out all the stoppers and cleaned them. I put bleach down everywhere at least once a week which seems to solve the problem for about one day max. Do I need a professional cabbage smell killer?

Under your sinks have you got U shaped bends coming down from the plug hole? The U shaped bend should hold certain amount of water after you turn your tap off, stopping smells coming back up the plug hole

Is it the external drains in the foot paths you are on about?

I had a similar problem in a kitchen sink last year in a place I'd moved into.

No amount of cleaning fluid did anything.
Eventually I unscrewed and removed the metal bit over the drain hole that the plug fits into and found that it was caked in a layer of fat due to the curved design around the pipe.

The cleaning fluids could never touch this area and we always returned home after a few days away to a horrible smell.

    After that, problem solved.

Caustic soda is better than bleach for burning through grease
