    Hi,

    I have a 2009 2.0TDI A4 120BHP, which I'm thinking about re-mapping, anyone have a mapped one of these?
Is there any risk to the injectors, clutch etc because of the extra power? Finally any recommendations for someone who could map the car in the Cork area as I know for this car it is a little more complex with having to remove the ecu etc?

    Cheers,
    John

Was thinking about getting this done to my car, same model as yours. The maps for the ECU come in different stages depending on how much extra BHP you want, personally I will most likely go for the 1st stage as it means I won't need upgraded parts.

I heard for years that the fellas in Northern Ireland are the best in the business, so I might go there to get it done.

Joe Power from chippedire is worth a call.

170bhp should be doable safely without any bolt sons.

Joe power seems to be the man to go to

I have a 2003 2.0tdi. I went from 140 to 175 which is enough. Only problem I had was the intercooler pipe blew off. You'd want to be sure your turbo is up to it too.

    170 from the 120 version?
I would have said 150bhp was stage 1 from joe in chipped Ireland it Martin in Autoremap.

Both if those guys are the only ones if use. I wouldn't go up north for a basic remap tbh.

Remaps aren't all about bhp anyway.

Torque and throttle response are the main benefits on a turbo car.

When it comes to remapping VAG cars Joe Power is the man to go to, well worth the trip (I think he has relocated to Dublin these days). I'll be going up to him sometime during the summer to have my CC remapped, kind of hanging on for a group remap to be on offer around then.

And just to add, I had my last car remapped and never had an issue with it in 3 years of ownership. It's like anything if you abuse it then it will break on you, the same rules apply to remapping. If you start driving it hard then you will end up with problems.

I drive my remapped car very hard and never had any problems, the problems come when you don't look after a car (mapped or not).

    Remapped my Audi A4 1.9TDI from 130BHP to 179BHP (let's call it 180) :D

Not a single ounce of trouble after 2 and a half years with 134k miles on the clock!

    (Mapped by Joe Power)
