Been thinking about this for a while now.

Does seeing foreign people living/ working/ studying in Ireland bother you?

HONEST, civil and serious comments people!

No. If it did then there'd be something wrong with you.

No, it doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the Irish people who say they wouldn't do a certain job cos it's beneath them but then they complain when the robbing foreigner does that job!!

No problem with a foreign person living, working or studying here trying to better themselves. Once they don't abuse our soft welfare system too.

Of the multiple times I have some pain in the arse scab a "spare cigarette" or "spare change" from me on a daily basis, never has it been someone with a foreign accent.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest, why would it?

Strikes me as a fair bit xenophobic tbh.

@ NiallSparky: Why do you feel that it may bother me?

@ dobman88: That's nice :) But, for example, say there was a position up for the taking (maybe a job, a seat in a master's course etc) here in Dublin and the competition was between twenty deserving candidates, with nineteen candidates being Irish and the other being completely foreign.

If the foreign person were to come out on top, would it honestly not bother you, even if he was the most deserving/ most suitable for the position?

Would it not bother you that if said foreign person didn't apply for the position, an Irish person would have been successful?

Fordner threads have been done to the death in After Hours and I'm telling you now, they never end well. If you want a serious discussion, I suggest you try a different forum. Locking this down.
