Anyone recommend someone to test for asbestos in South Dublin?

    Just gone sale agreed on a house and surveyor report has advised that because of age of the house, the stiple ceilings should be tested for asbestos. Can anyone recommend somebody that does this? House is in Dublin 6.

    only certified companies can do this , you probably already know this .a quick google search will get someone, but if you are not going to taking down the ceilings or they havent been damaged in any way then asbestos is safe in this form , again so long as nobody damages it! like drilling into it etc.

    We have used Harrington Asbestos Removal in the past. Very good company.

    Just had a job done by EWT from Kildare, very professional! They were not the cheapest quote we got for the removal but felt most comfortable with them and happy we did. Make sure you get a disposal cert and that the company has proper asbestos insurance lots of chancers out there! One guy said a disposal cert wasn't necessary because we were resedintal and not commercial! Total BS! The guy from EWT told me that they are regularly called to pick up dumped asbestos by dodgy builders who have fooled people into thinking they are legit. Anyway a worrying problem for our family that was dealt with by a very professional company,happy to recommend them!
