I don't see the point of it, but it's better than the idiots who dress their dogs like children. At least this dog would have some street cred (and he was under anaesthetic at the time).

Tattoos can heal badly even on humans who make every effort to keep the area clean as possible. An infected tattoo is supposed to be very painful. It would be terrible for a dog to go through that.

OK so the guy's a bit of a thicko but this is hardly a case of animal cruelty.

I think branding cattle is a lot more painful than tattooing a mutt who's under anaesthetic.
