    Hi all
I'm looking for a step by step guide to getting a divorce here in Ireland .I've already got a judicial separation 4 years ago .most of our legal problems where sorted out back then . there is no kids. And we had got a home which I let her buy my share out of me and almost everything was dealt with back then .which cost me €25.000 euro .compared to £700 old Irish money for my first divorce .
So due to the cost which I've already paid for this I'm planning on doing this diy Divorce on my own and not getting a diy divorce service to do it for me .to keep the cost to the very minimum . I have sent the ex a letter explaining this and she will not contest it so how from the very beginning to I go about this which forms do I send into the courts and with the likes of the affidavit of means does she have to go to a commissioner of oaths to get her forms signed and stamped or can I do this for her as she is not willing to pay any of the fees towards this in away or form .so I'll be footing the full bill .
Any help here lads and gals would be great my new lady won't get engaged to me unless I'm fully divorced , which is understandable .so it will be 3rd time lucky .which is a bit considering I'm only 45
    Any help would be great
    thanks in advance folks

You need to bring the following to the Circuit Court Office in your area:

    1. Family Law Civil Bill
    2. Affidavit of Means
    3. Marriage Cert

You can get templates of the above from the Circuit Court Office. The Circuit Court Office are also quite helpful for lay litigants.

Your ex-wife will then have to lodge the following into the Circuit Court Office:

    1. Appearance
    2. Defence
    3. Affidavit of Means

After that the Circuit Court procedures will kick in and you will be provided with dates for Case Progression and dates for Divorce Hearing.

Affidavits of Means will need to be sworn by Commissioner for Oaths at a cost of €10 each.
