Android Phone Recommendations - €120 or Less

    Hi all,

After buying a Huawei Ascend g300 a couple of years ago and really liking it without having any problems, it met a sticky end this evening :( so now I need a phone and it's vital I get one before the end of the weekend.

I'm looking for advice on what phone to get with a budget of around €120. After doing some research myself I came across the Sony Xperia E which seems to have similar specs to the Ascend g300 (apart from having a 3.15 MP camera compared to the Ascend's 5 MP camera) and at a price of under €100 which is very reasonable. Is the phone any good as I see lots of mixed reviews on places such as GSM Arena, although I recall seeing similar about the Ascend before I purchased that.

Please suggest any Android phone at all that you would recommend within my budget. Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks :)

+1 for Moto G, is a no-brainer at that budget - assuming you'd be happy with a 4.5 inch screen

i have seen this one in use - the Moto G is an exceptional phone for the price - no question - FAR FAR BETTER than the Sony Xperia E

Its Quad Core - the sony is a single core thats FAR slower
Its got 1GB RAM - the Sony is only 512 RAM
It has 8GB storage - the sony has only got 4GB

Honestly for 150 euro its decent

    Alternatively:

My friend has this phone and i have to say it is awesome - it has less space but you can put up to 32GB in for extra storage - Also its Sim Free and takes two Sim Cards if necessary

Both of these are far better than the sony - honestly -

If the Budget is literally 120Euro then:

    http://www.did.ie/gigabyte-gsmart-tuku-t2-android-phone-2q001-00014-3-prd - Priced 99euro

AGAIN: Faster CPU (Dual core this time) - and expandable memory - Sim Free

Sic semper tyrannis - thus always to Tyrants

Stay with Huawei and try the Y 300. A dinger of a phone and extremely responsive with its stock rom. €79 from Emobile, but if you can wait for another week, its £82 sim free from Amazon.co.uk.

Hi, looking for a piece of advice myself.
a wee while back I bought a Sony xperia MT15i, it has a 6mp camera on 16:9 and 8mp on 4:3 with 3264x2448pixels, so after being snap happy taking all kind of pic's on both settings, I got a new laptop and downloaded the pic's, they were brutal, all pixelated or exploded, when they came up on the screen, when I looked at the properties part of the file it said the 8mp was 408x230 and the 6mp was 408x306, I tried one from my (very)old Sony Ericsson 3mp camera, and they fill the screen perfectly, no explosions of pixels, There is no setting to improve the quality of picture being taken, (like the old one) So can anyone tell me where have all the pixels gone or was I sold a pup??
    Thanks..

Tomorrow aliexpress have a 50% sale across the site. If you can wait 2 or 3 weeks to receive the phone, you'll probably pick up a Jiayu g4 or g3s for 120 tomorrow and they are brilliant phones for 200 nevermind 120.

Do not and I repeat DO NOT touch the Sony E. It is junk. Bad software iffy design and dog slow - Its worth about €9.99 at best

Moto G is amazing. By far the best phone on the market at the moment (bar the high end €499 + phones)

Great screen, great design, almost stock Android, quick updates, lots of accessories and a great price.
We now have 2 in the house and they are on a par with my Nexus 4

We have been through a lot of the Sony phones and cannot stress enough how poor they have all been (Xperia S, M, U and E and also a Tipo and all been a pain in the h0le)
