Replace coals for gas fire?

    Gas fire now giving out less heat.
    Should I replace the coals?
    And where can they be got?

    Coals don't effect the heat as such , might need To be serviced

    While coals on a gas fire may seem very simple and basic to remove, replace etc it is and extremely important part of the fire make up. If the coal matrix is not placed as per the manufacturers instructions you can cause high CO production, sooting of the fire, and possibly spillage (leakage) of these products into the room, not up the chimney/flue as intended. Please proceed with caution.
