Paypal charge 3% on all transactions. No secret there. That's why you use online banking to do a bank transfer.

They are probably charging some bs amount to convert the currency.

They could be converting euro to pound and back to euro again.

Thats probably it i just found this For non-Euro transactions, a conversion charge of 2.75% of the transaction amount is charged.

Im done with that o2 card now there is so many charges its just not worth it and to make it worst i can only take out 200e in 24hrs plus there's a charge on that at the atm catch 22 if i ever was in one (lol)

    Thanks for your help anyway

I don't get how companies get away with those % based rates. They are reasonable for small transactions but once you start spending any kind of money you get ripped off.

A bank charges only around 50c for currency conversion and bank transfers or visa payments. Get yourself a bank account with a visa debit card.

Thats what i will do but for now my money is stuck on that card only way to get it off is 200e every 24hrs at €1 charge per go thats probably the best thing to do if i don't want that charge and just put the money on my mothers visa debit card, never again am i using that card what a rip off an extra €37.58 on top of my goods just for conversion rates n charges is robbery

I still can't work out where that extra €37.58 came from tho, my goods had a total of €499.67 with all charges e.g p&p plus 3% paypay fee but they tried to take €537.35 altogether this was the amount they tried to take in pounds £428.68 which converts to €517.69 so they have a 2.75% conversion charge on o2 can anyone work out how i had the extra charge of €37.58

    Thanks
