CRVT cert

    Hey everybody

    just got a van and it was meant to have a doe cert etc. However, all i got was a statement of result of vehicle test filled in byt the tester. How do I go about getting the proper cert?

    Cert is posted to register owner address.
    I was told recently, that if vehicle is sold, they can delay posting cert, until change of ownership is complete, so cert goes into new owner's address.

    I think you have to swap the document you have for a cert when taxing the vehicle and it costs about €5 (unles they have changed that procdure wisnce last May when I did mine.

    They changed it.
    Motor tax office doesn't issue certs anymore.

    nuts, I guess the previous owner lost it then as it was tested last september. Ill try get a replacement.

    SOunds like your cert was the old system then. Has it been taxed since September?

    it hasn't no. and i know there will be all colours of BS getting the ownership changed too. I just know it. :(

    and where could i get the mileage tested in the ecu? main dealer or could a garage do it?

    The ownership change has happened. Phew!
    But the sleeveen said I bought it over a month ago on file. I think this means I have to back tax it now... I'll find that lad yet.

    in which case, when you tax it with the document you have, you will get the cert.
